Post-Care

READ THOROUGHLY!

Day 1:

(Day of treatment)

2-3 hours after treatment, gently clean the area with a very small amount of gentle face cleanser and water (or just warm water) on a cotton pad or use your fingertips. Pat dry with a towel. Don’t rub or wipe! Do this 1 to 2 times today to avoid build-up of blood/lymph (clear fluid) on the area. You don’t want the lymph to prematurely create a scab on the first day.

Days 2-3:

When you wake up, gently wipe the area with a small amount of water and gentle cleanser on a cotton pad. Be extra careful not to rub, tug or scrub on the brows.

Do this 2- 3 times today and tomorrow to avoid any build-up of blood or lymph.

Days 4-14:

NO WATER ON THE BROWS!!

You will notice your brows start to be darker in color, and they feel more tight and dry. This is your body starting to develop the scab over the brow area.

Note: Do NOT get your brows wet at this point! You want your body to naturally produce a scab. If you get your brows wet, this will result in the scabs to get soft and can cause the scabs to come off prematurely. If that happens you can have loss of pigment in that area and the skin can potentially look or feel raw. The scab needs to be there. It helps the skin to heal and lock the pigment/tattoo in the skin.

As your brows feel dry and itchy, you then may apply an extremely thin layer of Aquaphor on your brows for moisture. Use clean fingertips or a Q-tip to apply. (brows should not be greasy, glossy, or shiny – if so, you used too much) Apply aquaphor 1-3 times daily as needed.

Note: If brows are too greasy, this can also cause the scabs to come off prematurely causing the pigment to not hold in that spot resulting in loss pigment.

HAPPY HEALING!
